Dr. Youky Shen

Dr. Shen grew up on the South side of Edmonton and is a University of Alberta graduate, receiving her bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. After graduation she completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Postdoctoral Program at Columbia University in New York City. This program was an intense opportunity to have exposure to real world dentistry, working on a variety of patients with varying needs and challenges. Collaborating with experienced professionals in this setting has provided a foundation of solid dental knowledge, proven approach to treatment and opportunity for mentorship. An experience Dr. Shen is fortunate to have had. Dr. Shen continues to challenge herself professionally by taking workshops and courses to learn and practice the latest developments in modern dentistry. She takes pride in delivering exceptional care while working with her patients to achieve their individual health goals. She does this by getting to know her patients, taking time to develop a trusting relationship and listening to her patients. Dr. Shen enjoys getting to know what’s happening in her patient’s lives, watching them achieve their goals and celebrating those accomplishments. In her free time Dr. Shen enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys playing board games, Pilates and you may even run into her on a local hiking trail. She hopes to travel more and feed her appetite for adventure.
